Last nights Rock n Roll show

WOW! Last night Green Day gave just the awesomest performance ever- it was that good I'm allowed to make a word up to describe it since there probably aren't enough superlatives to describe it!

The show started kinda slow with warm up act Sugarcult and New Found Glory giving lots of energy, but everyone was there to see Green Day and no-one really payed too much attention to these bands, also their set-up mix didn't sound great so everything kinda came over in one big noise of sound. But I'll give them an A for effort.

Green Day finally appeared after a funny drunk pink bunny came on stage to warm up the crowd by dancing to YMCA. You could tell already Green Day were on the way as the crowd were instantly more engaged with the happenings on the stage.

The Floor section was still kinda empty after the first number - American Idiot. So just as the trio were about to launch into 'Jesus of Suburbia' Billie invited everyone to get out of their seats and pile down onto the floor ina n orderly fashion, well it caused a mini stampede, but the place was buzzing after that and they never looked back!

The set was about 2hours + in length, they ran through half of the new album before delving into a barrage of past classics mixed with a whole lot of banter with the crowd. Oldies such as Basket case, when I come around, Longview, Hitchin a ride, She, Paper Lanterns, Brainstew, Jaded, Westbound sign to name but a few. Then came their usual party piece of forming a band on stage by pulling out members from the crowd to play a cover of Operation Ivy's 'Knowledge', it went down a treat. The kids got to keep the instruments, and the drummer was allowed to take a huge stage dive after a run up from the drum riser and down the center runway, i think he landed ok?!?

It was sure easy to tell that Boys are one slick live perfoming machine, and worthy of having a repution for being one of, if not the best live band of the moment and for a good few years back to!

Still my fave band of all-time: GREEN DAY
