After a few hectic days it's time for a post.

I don't know how many phone calls, circling of classifieds and a handful of viewings all over the place...... we have a place. Luckily its not just any place, but somewhere that i think if we had the choice we'd have picked anyway!!

The suite is the top of a 3 storey block, I shall probably and predicatbly just refer to it from now on as the penthouse. It is in an extremely affluent area of Vancouver's 'burbs. It is a short bus ride away from UBC, and not far in the other direction to commute downtown. The penthouse is just off West 10th Avenue on Discovery Street. W 10th is a fantastic and idilic looking street, especially with thte Autumnal colours and Halloween deco in all the stores. I will be getting pictures up ASAP!! There is a ton of stuff i've missed out but will update you with later, i'm still a bit excited about it all.

The Penthouse itself has two North facing double bedrooms, a nice bathroom, large lounge with patio doors opening onto the balcony. The kitchen is one of the best we've seen and has the obligatory ginormous two doored fridge! The thing that is just the biggest selling point despite the location is the killer view!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure all the postcards of downtown with the mountains jumping up behind were taken from this neighbourhood. Again, i'll get the pictures up asap. FRom the balcony we can see English Bay, downtown, Mount Seymour (inc the ski slopes), and over to the snow capped Rockies. Seeing is believing folks!
